This workshop will follow the credo of Blake and Crazy Horse, encouraging an esoteric, rather undeveloped territory to be dove-tailed into literary writing.

That is, here the participants will be introduced to developing a "sixth sense" which can inform literary writing, especially the form of fiction, voice of poetry and content of creative non-fiction. Here we utilizing archetypes and mythological symbols to contact "intuitive" truths which can then inform metaphors and metonymy.

Participants will explore ways to tap their night dreams in order to develope characters within fiction/flash fiction And to inform their poetic voice. Calling on the muses, this workshop infuses a writer with ways to unravel the dream that is "life". And become an active co-creator/creatress of realities which can inspire our current human condition into an expansive transformation.

Details

All genres will find this workshop relevant.

There are no prior assignments other than readings; suggested reading list will be provided for students beforehand. It will include work by Frank Waters, Harvey Arden, Sharon Doubiago and Marija Gumbutas.

back to home

copyright 2005
antoinette nora claypoole
All People are One
